A Miniature Schnauzer will be part of your family for around 15 years, through the puppy stage, adolescence, adulthood and into old age, and each of those stages asks something different of you. The questions below are the ones we ask every family to sit down and think about before they bring a puppy home, because the honest answers now are what make the difference to how well a puppy settles later. Take your time with them, talk them through with everyone in the household, and if there is anything you are unsure of we are very happy to talk it through with you. Whether your puppy is collected from the farm or flies home, the first days are the same, a quiet sleeping area, a simple toileting routine and clear household rules will help your puppy settle quickly, and we talk all of this through with every family before their puppy comes home. Your puppy will arrive with our detailed raw feeding information and a small training program to practise daily, and our support for you is for the whole life of your puppy. Bringing Your Puppy Home from Interstate
Many of our puppies join families outside Queensland. Puppies can fly to their new home with Virgin from 9 weeks of age, they have a Fit to Fly certificate from our vet and their travel crate is included in the travel cost and is sized to suit them for life. Our puppies are crate trained before they leave us, so they travel calmly, the travel agent who organises our flights regularly comments on how calm our puppies are. What age can a puppy fly home?
