Dog Training Workshops - We Are Here to Help Our Mini Schnauzer Families and More…

There is a very relevant saying ‘ You are always either training or un-training your dog’ Every interaction counts and while we may not notice, our dogs certainly do!

To a degree the temperament and personality type of a puppy is very important for it’s family however, a puppy who is quiet and responsive when they leave the breeder can still turn into a little biting and overexcited villain, with a lack of effective guidance or leadership from it’s family. There is so much importance in selecting an effective training method to clearly guide your puppy into being an upstanding little adult citizen.

I run our Learning to Listen behavioral training boot-camp over 2 consecutive days and it is available to anyone who needs help with their dog.

I teach a solid foundation of skills to ensure the handler understands the concepts and is confident to apply the training effectively with the dog.

Handlers will learn how to communicate and build a listening and learning relationship with their dog, with plenty of practical practice and testing of those skills, all in a safe and controlled environment.

This training is suitable for puppies from 13 weeks (must be fully vaccinated for Parvo Virus) up to senior dogs ie 12 years old.

Workshop dates are planned around what best suits our commitments and also the handlers availability. I work with one family at a time, multiple family members can participate for the 2 days. The cost is per handler and dog and we can supply our own dogs to enable the family to learn if needed.

Dog friendly accommodation is available close by and camping is also an option on our farm, if the family is well equipped to camp.

We do strongly recommend considering staying the last night of your training rather than travelling home, the 2 days are long and I will work people hard. At the end of every workshop people are exhausted and I always feel bad for anyone having to drive home fatigued, late in the afternoon.
